ifwehavebeenawedbythemightofGoddisplayed
inHisvastuniverse,weareawedbythedepthofHis
lovedisplayedintheblessedgospelofHisSon;forwe
knowthatHewhoisso greatthatHe hasstretched
outthe universe as you and I would pitch a tent,
nevertheless "so loved theworld, thatHe gave His
only-begotten Son,that whosoeverbelieveth inHim
shouldnotperish,buthaveeverlastinglife."
Aswelookattheskies,—atthestarsintheirap-
pointedcourse,atallthecelestialbodieskeepingtheir
mightyorbits,thespheresrotatinginthevastdeepsof
thecreation,—wecannot disputethe mightofGod;
andwhenweviewthecrossofChrist,thewonderful
condescensionof the Father in givingHis Son, we
cannotdisputetheimmeasurableloveofGod.
