AGES agothe Word declaredthe stars ofthe
heavenstobeinnumerable. Yearshavecome
and gone; man's knowledgeofthe skieshas
beenaugmented;researchthroughtimes andseasons
hasaddedits storesoffactstothescienceofastron-
omy. To-daywesay still,thestarsareinnumerable.
InAbraham'sday,evenasnowandalways,theeye
couldcountallthestarsseenintheskies. Ifitwere
amerehumantaskGodcalledAbrahamtoundertake,
hecouldsoonaccomplishit. Itwouldnotbedifficult
to countallthestarsvisibleeveninhisfine climate.
Withalittleskillandperseverance,hecouldsoonknow
thenumberinsight.
ButitwastheCreatoroftheuniversewho called
Abraham forth, and thus he saw by themore than
telescopeof God's enabling. Hecould look deeper
than anyothers ofthe skygazers ofhis time. He
couldfathomtheuniversespreadouttohissight. To
Christwereshownthekingdomsoftheworldandthe
glory ofthem,evenbytheability ofa fallenangel.
