Withthemostgigantictelescopes,mancannotnum-
berallthestars. Withtheaidofthemostexquisitely-
sensitivephotographicplates,mancannotgettheauto-
graphofalltheorbsshininginthestellardepths. The
starsaretousinnumerable.
God formed theheavens. Hescatteredthe deeps
ofspacewiththegloriesofuncountedsuns,thewon-
dersofattendantplanetsandsatellites. Theyallpar-
takeofHisinfinity. Thestarsofheavenarebeyond
thecomputationofman; thestars ofGodare tous
innumerable.
WiththisnewviewoftheinfinityofGod'sshining
orbs,we have anew realizationof thattruth which
declaresthatthereshall be,likethestars,vastnum-
bersofthosewhoshallwashtheirrobesandmakethem
white,—a greatmultitudeno man cannumber. To
createtheinnumerablesuns,Godhadbuttospeakthe
word. The wholehostof themobeyed "thebreath
ofHismouth." But tobring forththe hostof the
saved,theSonofGodleftgloryandeternalblessed-
nesstoleadmen fromsintothepurityofGod. And
wemaybe laborerstogetherwith Him inthiswork
inthesetheclosinghoursoftime.
Godgrantthatwemaybeofthatuncountedhost,
andthatwe maybringatleastoneotherwith usto
swelltheuntoldnumber. AndGodgrantthatwemay
see Him whoseblood cleanses us white, and praise
withimmortal tonguesboth Himand thegreatand
lovingFatherintheglorylandbeyondthestars.
