wefollowthecrowdofworldly-wisemen? Thereisa
certainanswertothequestion:Ifyouarenowmaking
thatBookyourscience,ifnowyoubelieveitinprefer-
encetoallscience andall thewisdom oftheworld,
wemay be reasonably certain thatyou would have
believedthewordsofIsaiahthen.
ButtheideathattheuniverseofGodisyettomeet
withruinorpartialwreck,isstilltaught. Menteach
thatsomedaythesunwillgrowcoldanddie,andthe
planetswillwhirloninlifelessgloom. ButtheWord
saysthat"Hisabilityandstrongpoweraresogreat"
thatnot one ofthemcan be wanting. And against
the picture which scientists present—a picture of
darknessanddeath—theWordplacesitsprophecyof
abrightersunandabetterworld.
Manifestlythereistobearuin,butitistheruinof
sin. There is to be anend tothis world, notas a
planet rollinginspace, butastherestingandbrood-
ingplaceofsin. Andthen,beautifiedandmadenew,
itwillrollon,wrappedinbrighterglorythaninthese
daysofmiseryandevil. Letnothingtouchyourfaith
inthatWord. Ifitgoesfrom yourheart,you lose
thetruestguidemaneverhad.
Butthesuniswhirlingonthroughspace. Astrono-
mershaveknownthisatrifleoveronehundredyears
