withthisdignifiedreferencetoastronomicalfact.
ButtheSpiritofGod,which"searchethallthings,"
even"thedeepthingsofGod"(i Cor.2:10),knows
allthefactsexistinginthisvastuniverse;anditse-
lectedone ofthegrand factsof astronomy,andex-
presseditinwordsoffinalknowledgethatwillnever
gooutofdate,nomatterhowfarastronomicalscience
mayadvance.
Standingnotlongagoinanastronomicalobserva-
tory, talking with the director of that observatory,
whoisanotedman,yetadevoutChristian,I saidto
him,"Howcouldmenknowenoughtomakethisal-
lusion?" Heanswered:"Theydidnotknowenough.
Therewasnowayforthemtoknowit." Then,toget
his answer, I asked, "Whence came this question?"
"Ah,"saidhe, "that came bytheinspiration ofthe
WordofGod. Itisaninfallibleevidenceoftheab-
soluteknowledgeand truth contained inthatbook."

ing this wonderful star, that brilliant, shining orb,
Arcturus? Astronomershavefoundthatallthestars
apparentlyareswiftlymoving—movingthroughthe
greatdepthsofspacelikeswarmsofbees,eachin its
owncourse. Theyhavefound thatthesemovements
averageaspeedasgreatasthatoftheswiftlyflying
cannonball,orevengreater. Theaveragemotionof
thestarsis tenmilesa second. Thisisa marvelous
