natedbyRigel,thegleamingwhitestarinthefootof
Orion. Then,over inthesouthwestblazesandscin-
tillatestheimperialSirius. AboveSiriusis Procyon,
slightly yellowish white; and above Procyon,at the
northeast corner, are theTwins, Castor and Pollux,
