thereachofhisinstruments. Hemultipliesinstances.
Hecomparesonewithanother. Hecomputesintothe
hundredsofyears. Hegoesbackintimespast. He
reckonsforwardintotimestocome.
Whenhehassatisfiedeveryelementoftheproblem,
whichistohimwhollyamathematicalone,heavers

"There is no danger of collision or of interference
amonganyoftheheavenlybodies. Thoughtheirpaths
cross, thoughtheir orbitsoften interweave,yeteach
heavenlybodyalwaysmovesinsuchawayandplace
as in no wise to jeopardize itself or its fellows.
Everywhereisperfectorder. SofarasIcansee,the
universemaygoonasitistoalleternity. Andsofar
asI canreckon, ithasbeengoingoninthis perfect
wayfromalleternity."
Butinmakingthislaststatement,thescientisthas
runintocontroversywiththeWordofGod. Hehas
contradicted the statements of the Bible. Thus we
areshown thattheBibleisthegreatguide,afterall,
insomeoftheimportantthingsofscience.
In saying that the universe never had beginning,
thescientistdeniesthestatementofGenesis, "Inthe
beginningGod created." TheWord admonishesus
tolookupandbeholdthemanifestationsofamighty
andorderlyuniverse,butitsappealistobehold"who
hath created these things." He "bringeth out their
