The universe is not a mere jumble of suns and
worlds,afreakofchanceoperatingblindlythroughthe
undirectedlawsofnature;neitheraresomeofthesuns
andworldsaboutus"young"andgrowingtowardthe
strengthofmanhoodlifeandpower,whileothersarc
"old"andwaxingtodecay;buttheomnipotenthand
ofGodisbehindallofHisworks,andHisinfinitein-
telligenceisdirectingeverystarandworldandallof
theforcesofnatureinearthandseaandsky.
Themarshalingof thefacts andofthe scriptures
whichshowthatGodisintelligently,actively,andlov-
inglyatworkthroughalloftheoperationsofnature,
willbefoundaconstantdelight,inspiration,andsatis-
factiontothereader. GodsolovesusthatHeseeks
totouchusthroughmanyavenues. HHeisnotable
toappealto usthroughHis writtenWord, Hethea
appealsthroughtheforcesofnature. Hespeakstous
