Almighty asked Job the ever unanswered question,
"Whereuponare the foundationsof the earthmade
to sink?" No matter whatman's attainments, that
question,likealltheotherswhich GodaskedJob,is
foreverbeyondman'scompleteanswering. Weto-day
cananswerthequestionnobetterthancouldJob. We
shallneverbeabletoansweritfully. Toanswercom-
pletelyanyoneofGod'squestionsistomeasureHim
onthatonepoint. Weshallneverbeabletodothat.
Theultimateand full answerslie in theinscrutable
mindoftheCreator Himself. One mysterycleared,
countless others, deeper and more baffling, appear.
"Therateofscientificprogressincreasesfromdecade
todecade, and yetthe new problems increase more
rapidly. Thedivineintellect canneverbe exhausted
bythehuman."
Godwantsmantoknowthetruth inregardtoall
Hehasdone. Hehaslightenedtheearthandheaven
withHisrevelations;HehasgiventomenHisSpirit
;andHehaslefttothemHisWord, allfloodedwith
light. Godthusrevealstruthaftertruthwithalavish
hand. Hetellsusthatthe earthisnot inthecenter
ofthe universe,but onthe outskirts; that itis not
flat,butround;andthatitisnotsupportedbythings
material, butby a power (which men call gravita-
tion,but) whichGod callsthe power ofHis Word,
manifestedthrough Jesus Christ.
Thesetruths arerevealedas truthshavingabear-
inguponthesoulsofmen. EverywherethatGodhas
revealedascientifictruth,itisfoundtohaveabearing
