characteristic of the psychology of the Far-Eastern people.
ThespiritofBuddhismhasleftitshighlymetaphysicalsuper-
structureinordertobecomeapracticaldisciplineoflife.The
resultis Zen. ThereforeI makeboldto saythat in Zenare
found systematized, or rathercrystallized, all thephilosophy,
religion, andlifeitselfoftheFar-Easternpeople,especiallyof
theJapanese.
