19.Remain with the patient until each medication is swallowed.

Never leave medication at the patient’s bedside.

20. Assist the patient to a comfortable position. Remove PPE,
    if used. Perform hand hygiene.


21. Document the administration of the medication immediately
    after administration.


22. Evaluate the patient’s response to medication within
    appropriate time frame.
