curate your page and make Apple Music and
recommendations even more personalized and
work harder for you.
Another commonly-overlooked beneit to Apple
Music is the free iCloud Music Library service,
which allows you to store up to 100,000 tracks
in the cloud. This is separate from your regular
iCloud storage capacity, and means you can
add your own music from CDs or your personal
collection - and even if the tracks aren’t available
to stream on Apple Music, Apple will upload
them and allow you to listen and sync them
across all of your devices. It could be demos
you’ve created with your band, exclusive music
and soundtracks that aren’t available online, or
even audiobooks or audio content that you’d
want to stream on the go.
Apple also ofers a built-in equalizer so that you
can enhance the performance based on the
genre of the music. Apple’s included 23 presents
as standard, and you can also boost the bass
to suit your individual taste. Unfortunately, this
service isn’t baked into Apple Music - you’ll need
to head to Settings, Music, then EQ to make
changes, and then revert back when you want
to listen to a diferent music genre, but it’s still a
handy feature and could come in useful in some
situations, especially if you’re a fan of a particular
music genre such as EDM.
If you’re the kind of person who downloads lots
of music, don’t let it overtake your phone. It’s
possible to use Apple’s ‘Optimize Storage’ feature
which automatically deletes music you don’t
listen to regularly. When it’s turned on, Apple will
