contaminants, and the combined weight causes them to drop to the
fl oor. There is some controversy regarding ozone, but the fact is that
the ozone (O 3 ) generated by this air cleaner oxidizes (burns up) molds,
mildew, and airborne bacteria such as the tuberculosis bacillus.
Pure air is invigorating because with the acidic, toxic pollutants
removed, it carries more ox ygen. This additional ox ygen is transported
by the blood to the cells, where it is converted by the process of respira-
tion into energy. Increasing the body’s energy level not only promotes
a sense of well-being but also enables the metabolic processes in the
body to work effi ciently in eliminating the acidic wastes that lay the
groundwork for degenerative diseases.

Vitamin Supplements Can Deplete

Nutritional Reserves

There are many misconceptions about vitamin supplements. It’s impor-
tant to know how supplements have the ability to deplete nutritional
reserves; keeping this in mind is key when neutralizing your body’s
acidity.
Some health enthusiasts may talk nostalgically about the wild game,
roots, and berries that their remote ancestors, the hunter-gatherers of
the Paleolithic Age, lived on. And most assume that the nutritional
supplements they take make up the difference between the natural diet
of these ancient, Ice Age peoples and the nutrient-defi cient, chemical-
ized foods that make up their own diet. Their belief takes for granted
that a single vitamin, mineral, or enzyme is a nutrient and therefore can
help restore the body’s defi cient nutrient reserves.
In fact once a vitamin is separated from the food complex in which
it occurs naturally in the body, it loses its nutritional value. Epidemio-
logical studies support this. They show that while the ingestion of
fruits and vegetables reduces the risk of cancer, diabetes, and heart
disease, such antioxidents as beta-carotene, ascorbic acid, and alpha
tocopherol (vitamin E) don’t have such health benefi ts. We need whole-
food vitamins. In the case of vitamin E, that includes tocopherols E2,
E3, unsaturated fatty acids, F1, F2, xanthene, liposoitols, selenium,
coenzyme Q-10, and other factors not yet discovered.^18
