PRINT IT BIG

Prompted by the thought of what it must be like to have failing eyesight, many of my new chalk stream series will be shot with a 35mm

(53mm equivalent) f/1.4 Fuji lens, used wide open. The idea is to throw much of the subject out of focus, as in the print I’m holding here.

Printing large helps accentuate this out of focus effect.
