Contrastive stress
When prominence is given to two words that are in contrast in order to bring
attention to the di"erence between them. For example:
Hamburgers TASTE good, but they’re not nuTRItious.
The students in the FRONT of the room were paying attention, but the ones in the
BACK were half asleep.
