GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition
was on the agenda for the last
issue, and I’m sure I won’t be the
first to say that it was a letdown.
Not only for fans who were excited
for this nostalgia hit, but for
Rockstar games, too. You’d have
thought that it would have gone
over the release with a fine-tooth
comb. But with so many glitches,
this feels like a filler project.
These titles paved the way for
open-world games, so the appeal
of reliving these in a remastered
fashion was huge. As a fan of the
GTA catalog, I would have rather
waited until these bugs had been
fixed. It seems as though GTA 5
is raking in the cash and other
projects have been put on the
back burner. Saying that, I loved
Red Dead Redemption 2, the
level of detail in that game was
superb and is part of what makes
Rockstar games so good. Every
corner of the map is there to
be explored with lots of hidden
easter eggs and side quests.
To find issues such as
a vanishing bridge in the
remastered San Andreas was
a disappointment. It could have
been a huge success for Rockstar
and while updates will come out
with patches, the initial damage
has been done. In the meantime,
I have hopped back on GTA 4 and
am replaying the whole story. I’ll
come back to the trilogy when
some major patches are available.

a page where you can quickly check to see which apps have
