EPOS IS A DANISH AUDIO HOUSE that falls
under the Sennheiser umbrella. The
ethos of the brand is split up into two
distinct sectors, one for gaming and one
for enterprise. EPOS’s Adapt 360 headset
finds itself in the enterprise category,
coming in at $270. It aims to deliver the
best of both worlds, a headset that you
can use at work or on calls, and yet you
can still use on the commute home and
for leisure purposes. Does this headset
meet these targets and is it a worthwhile
purchase to use daily for work?
On the face of it, the Adapt 360 certainly
looks like it fits this market. There’s no
revolutionary design here, just a crisp
and subtle look that doesn’t stand out
but looks worthy of the price. They fold
into a compact size, but unfortunately not
completely flat, and come with a nylon
carry case for portability.
The whole headset is covered in a flat
soft-touch plastic with hints of a greyish
brown to contrast. This is on each side of
the headband and makes up the earcups,
which feel pretty comfortable. Made
from a plush memory foam leatherette,
they cushion your ears without too much
direct pressure. They aren’t the most
comfortable, but for long usage, whether
it's work or leisure, they do the job. To
help with comfort, they are pretty light
too and easy to carry around on the daily
commute. With this lightweight nature
comes unfortunate side effects. The
build feels a little cheap in comparison
with other headphones of the same price
bracket. There is a little bit of creaking
when swiveling, which hinders these
cans a little.
However, they are packed with features
to help bridge the gap between leisure
and commercial usage. In the box, there
is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable, Bluetooth
USB dongle, USB-C charging cable, and
the carrying case. Connectivity is pretty
decent, there is multipoint connectivity
also to two Bluetooth devices for
seamless transitioning. It’s handy for
switching from your phone to your PC,
we all know how Bluetooth can be fiddly
when swapping from devices so this is a
great plus for the Adapt 360. When using

the Bluetooth dongle, the headset has a
dedicated button for Microsoft Teams,
pushing the enterprise element yet
further. It also has active noise control,
which works pretty well for blocking out
all the hustle and bustle of commuting,
office background chatter, and anything
else in between.
Like many headsets, the controls are
found on the right earcup. There, you’ll
find the connectivity button, a slider to
control the play/pause and skip controls,
the volume button, USB-C cable, 2.5mm
port, and the power button. That’s quite
the handful and it can get awkward trying
to figure out what you are pressing. It’s a
little cramped and would be better suited
to have controls on both cans. Still, the
battery life is pretty impressive, boasting
30 hours with ANC on and 46 hours
without it. This is more than enough and
if you forget to charge one day, you have
that peace of mind that there should still
be enough in the bank.
As for audio quality, the Adapt 360
delivers a clear soundstage. Its detail
is precise while maintaining strong
mids. The bass delivery isn’t quite as
powerful as we'd like when listening to
bass-heavy music, but for the majority of
day-to-day usage, the sound is clear. The
headphones are certified for Microsoft
Teams and feature two microphones, so
the audio pick-up is brilliant and could
easily be used in an office environment.

This headset is a solid all-rounder,
one that works well for both commercial
and leisure purposes. EPOS has done a
great job at bridging the gap between the
two. However, the quality doesn’t quite
match the price, with the use of cheaper
materials than some rivals. It could also
do with more bass response. –SAM LEWIS
