N.B. Born in Krakow, Lambert-Rucki moved to Paris in 1911 (and became a French citizen in 1932).
Shortly after his arrival in Paris he began friendships with the artists of Montparnasse, including Modigliani
and Kisling. In 1920 he met the influential dealer Léonce Rosenberg, who began offering his works together
with those of Picasso and Leger, among others.
