4.To ensure that your scan uses the latest definitions for
malware(a kind of spyware with malicious intent), select
the Check for Updated Definitions before Scanning
check box.

5.Scroll down to the bottom of the Options dialog box (see
Figure 15-11) and make sure that the Use Windows
Defendercheck box is enabled (selected) to activate the
program.

6.Click Saveto save your settings.
