performance depends on the feedback we get from
road surfaces. If you go out for a drive one day and
suspect ice on the roads you would be foolhardy
indeed if you waited until you hit a patch of ice. What
experienced drivers do every now and then, is
deliberately hit the brake pedal, not sufficiently hard
to put the auto out of control, but certainly enough to
skid slightly. By doing this you get feedback to see just
how slippery the road is and you can also see how the
auto responds in a skid. Should you then accidentally
hit a patch of ice you already know how to correct
skidding and you can also regulate your steering and
driving in accordance to the conditions.

We can all benefit by setting- up 'think tanks' or
'master mind' groups or having 'skull sessions' with
friends to help us get feedback. Many times a close
friend will be able to give you valuable feedback
about your programs that you can't see, because you
are too close to them.

How can feedback help the salesperson or the
entrepreneur? Let me give you an example of how
most people run their biocomputers. Most people run
on a negative feedback loop. We have already seen
how many of our failure programs are inserted by
other people. However, many of our failure programs
are inserted by ourselves and then, constantly
reinforced through the practice of negative feedback.
When people fail, and many do, ranging from minor
hiccups to major financial disasters, what most people
tend to do is play those failures over and over again. I
had a student at one of my biocomputer seminars
who got jilted by a girl. He played that over and over
in his mind. He said he couldn't think of anything
else. That was ten years ago. He hadn't had a single
relationship in ten years because he was jilted once. I
had another guy who had failed in business; he went
