All parapet walls, expansion/control joint curbs, and curb-to-ductwork flashings shall be waterproofed with seamed
single-ply membrane, prior to installing sheet metal coping caps or covers.
Include sealants and required accessories for sealing sheet metal flashing in this section. Silyl- Terminated Polyether
sealant and manufacturer-recommended sealant primer shall be used for all sheet metal joints. Sonolastic 150 VLM and
Primer 733 by BASF Building Systems shall be the basis for design.
Minimum gauge thicknesses for roof-related sheet metal flashing and trim:

  1. Edge Metal: 24 gauge.

  2. Counterflashings: 24 gauge.

  3. Coping Caps: 22 gauge.

  4. Expansion/Control Joint Covers: 22 gauge.

  5. Suppers: 24 gauge.

  6. Conductor Heads: 22 gauge.

  7. Gutters: 22 gauge.

  8. Downspouts: 22 gauge.

07 72 33 Roof Hatches
Roof access hatches shall be as manufactured by The Bilco Company, with mill finish aluminum construction. Prime
painted steel construction shall only be used where painting of the roof hatch will occur for aesthetic reasons.

07 81 00 Fireproofing
Fire proofing shall be cementitious.

  1. SCOPE/ APPLICATION
Project Architect or Design Professional shall specify firestopping requirements on drawings a nd project
    specifications w hich s hall:
    a) Provide installed fi restop products that limit the spread of fire, heat, smoke, and gasses thr ough othe rwise
unprotected openi ng s in r ated a ssemblies, including walls, partitions, floors, r oof/ceilings, and similar
locations, restoring t he integrity of the f ire rated cons truction to i ts original f ire r ating.
    b) Provide f ire resistive systems l isted for c onstructi on gaps per t he specific combination of fire-rated
construction type, c on figurati on, gap dimensions, and fire r ating.
    c) Provide systems manufactured by 3M or HILTI that are listed by Underwriters
    i. Laboratories Inc. (UL), in "Fire Resistance Directory”.

  2. All Specifications Shall Meet the Following Requirements:
    a. Install in strict accorda nce with manufacturer's detailed ins tallation ins tructions and procedures.
Penetrati ons shall be sealed from both sides of the pene tration, when accessible.
    b. Use only products specifically listed f or use in listed s ystems.
    c. Firestopping m aterials mus t meet and be accept able f or u se by a ll building codes and NFPA codes.
