later to use Universal Control. Of course, there’s
no mention of iPhones: however, Apple could
choose to add Universal Control to iOS in a
future update. With smaller screens, use cases
could perhaps be limited.


RAMPING UP THE PRO FEATURES


The eventual launch of Universal Control comes
off the back of Apple’s stellar 2021 release
schedule, which saw significant updates across
its entire line-up of iPads and Macs. Not only
did we see the stunning iPad mini given some
love, but the iPad Pro was handed an M1 chip
and the iMac was brought into the 2020s with a
stunning new design and overhauled internals.
That’s without mentioning the star of the
show, which was undoubtedly the launch of
the M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro models,
offering supercharged performance for on the
go. Apple even dialed back on some of the
controversial changes it had made to the range
in recent years, like the poorly designed Touch
Bar on the Mac, and the removal of the useful
MagSafe charger, and began listening to what
professional users actually wanted from their
devices. One thing Apple always seems to get
right is its unbeatable relationship between
its hardware and software - the powerful new
specs of its machines can be fully utilized with
the right software, and no other technology
company has that level of control.


That’s without mentioning some of the exciting
new additions expected to be announced in
the coming months. Indeed, Apple is widely
rumored to be working on a designed
MacBook Air which will sport an all-new
