Photos


CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 lets you access a
selection of high-quality photos on various
subjects, such as architecture, landscapes, and
travel. The high-resolution images can be easily
searched and are suitable for printing.


You can search or browse the various
categories of photos by using Corel CONNECT.

Managing Content” on page 130.


Corel PHOTO-PAINT offers comprehensive
photo-editing tools that let you crop and stitch
images, retouch photos, and adjust color and
tone. For more information, see “Editing
images” in the Help.


To change the resolution of a photo that
you have imported in CorelDRAW, select
the photo, and drag a corner selection
handle to resize it. Reducing the size of the
photo increases the resolution. The current
resolution is displayed on the status bar.

To change the resolution of a photo in
Corel PHOTO-PAINT, click Image `
Resample, and choose the settings you
want in the Resample dialog box. For
more information, see “Changing image
resolution” in the Help.

To cut out an area of the image in
Corel PHOTO-PAINT, you can use the mask
tools. For more information, see “Working
with masks” in the Help.

You can make various adjustments to the color and tone
of a photo.

An area of the image is selected with the Freehand
mask tool.

The selected image area is cut out from the photo, and
feathering is applied to the edges.
