Adjusting the Legs

Many disorders, aches and pains in the back, hips, spine and neck
originate in the maladjustment of the hips and atlas. A large
percentage of the people have one leg shorter than the other. To
make this correction, the atlas must be in normal position. Few
systems of healing have any knowledge of how to make this
correction, so they build up the heel or place a pad in the heel of the
short leg. Those who have been partially successful in making the
correction take much time and many treatments — as fast as the
correction is made the condition frequently returns and must be
corrected over and over again.

The Vita-Flex system has the immediate answer. The first
adjustment makes a complete correction that will rarely go out of
place again. If such a situation does happen, instant correction is
made again by method. The person being treated must be seated
squarely and evenly on the chair The person making the change
stands in back of the patient and another may hold the feet up
slightly to watch the change. The control points for this correction
are found in the collar bone on both sides. As the collar bone comes
from the front of the throat and extends out across the shoulders,
there is a slightly projected point at the turn. By placing the thumb
on this point and rolling, inwardly; around and under it, the
correction is made. The pressure must be quite strong and deep. If
the change does not take place immediately, either you are missing
the spot or the pressure is not strong enough.
To properly make the change, the thumb is first pressed on the
side of the short leg. This may be done several times. If the leg is
still short, then use the same pressure on the other side and the long
leg shortens to make both legs even. It is interesting and exciting to
watch the short leg move down to the same length as the other, as
