Insomnia
As I try to fall asleep
Sadness seeps right through my eyes
Soaking up what's underneath
My pillow, where my head lies
All the bad that ever happened
All the good that never did
Every feeling that is latent
All the words I never said
Who am I and what is life?
And why do we even care?
Why does God keep rolling dice,
Causing us endless despair?
Who would I be if we weren't?
Would you like me if I lied?
Would you find me though I'm errant?
Or would I be lost inside?
All these thoughts inside my head
Keeping me away from you
All the times I wished I'm dead
Waiting for them to come true
