SHADE-SHIFTING DESIGNS
A reflective, multilayered dichroic film applied to the outer edge of the dial of Solaris, a watch
from ZIIIRO, shifts in colour as you twist your wrist. The watch is available in two versions that
bookend the colour spectrum: Chill turns from green to blue and Blaze from red to orange.
ziiiro.comColor Flow is a mini collection of cabinets by STUDIO ORIJEEN that trick the eye by
changing colour according to the onlooker’s viewpoint, thanks to lenticular surfaces that give
the three-dimensional pieces an extra dimension. Hues range from deep rose to blue on the
smaller cabinet and greenish yellow to blue on the larger model. The studio believes its
low-tech process can have a substantial effect on the relationship between furniture and its users.
