The British indie band Bastille’s fourth
studio album Give Me The Future might
have originally been conceived before the
COVID-19 pandemic – but as the album came
together during lockdown, the paranoia
and hopefulness in the content further grew

Chris Wood. - Bastille’s third studio album was 2019’s
strangely presciently-named Doom Days. - Working on the new album “with everyone
stuck at home, glued to screens, fed into the
feeling that what is real and what is not has
become pretty diicult to discern sometimes,”
Smith relected. - He pointed out: “We’re in the age of deep
fake, fake news and lying world leaders. But
online, you can be anyone.” - Rapper and actor Riz Ahmed makes a
guest appearance on the album’s spoken-
word interlude “Promises”.
