hand and flight details on screen, you might still
appreciate using an app or two...

We’re thinking particularly here of the
preinstalled Wallet app, to which you can
add your boarding pass, as Digital Trends
explains. You may see this as a huge relief,
given how easily paper boarding passes can be
lost. As long as your iPhone is running iOS 8 or
higher, you can store your digital boarding pass
in the same place as virtual credit, debit and
rewards cards.

After checking into a flight through the Safari
or Chrome browser, you can opt to receive your
pass as an email attachment from the airline. If
you use Apple’s Mail program, the pass could
be automatically added to Wallet – but if it
isn’t, you can still add it manually by opening
the attachment in Mail before tapping Add to
Apple Wallet and then Add. If your airline offers a
proprietary app, you could alternatively use that
to check into your flight and fetch your pass to
transfer to Wallet.

all, Forbes contributor Jordan Bishop has
hailed the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR as “the
ultimate travel accessories” on account of
their eSIM support, which could save you from
needing to keep removing and reinserting SIM
cards during your travels.
