YO U SAY
Kamila Valieva (BBC1, 9.15am)
Obviously I knew Survivors — Portraits Of The
Holocaust (BBC2) wouldn’t be an easy watch
but the documentary about the brave survivors
and their portrait artists was compelling and
sensitively shown. The seven subjects, all in their
nineties, recounted the unimaginable horrors
they endured. The paintings will live on, but what
will happen when these people die? I hope this
programme was watched by many.
