The half length portrait of the noble woman, wear-
ing a turquoise dress and a white fichu, reserved
against a gray ground, mounted in a floral garland
frame inset with olive enamel corners on a gilt wire
mesh ground in a beaded and leafy border, headed
by a ribbon tied trophy of flambeau and quiver,
mounted with an easel stand.
Height 6 1/4 inches (16 cm); height of miniature 3 1/4
inches (8.5 cm)

horse and rider in front of a Roman ruin, the sides
with feather edged shell and flora swag, painted in a
pastel palette of puce, rose, yellow and green; the
second featuring a seated figure of Cupid with a
sheet of music, painted in palette of mustard, green
and blue, one signed VP monogram, the other with cur-
sive F.

vignettes of courting couples or a mother and son playing with a dog,

ed with rose swag in pink palette.

The oval shaped box, the white enamel cover centered with the drawn
likeness of American statesman wearing a claret colored jacket and
titled in block letter “FRANKLIN”, the recessed base in cobalt blue, the
whole inset in a raised bezel mount.
