The dome form cover depicting a charming painted medallion of quartet of har-
riers in their stable awaiting their “Morning” meal, enclosed by an inlaid Greek
key border, the sides of the corseted base with a conforming inlaid border,
raised on ebonized chamfered feet, overall decorated in gilt and inlay on an
ebonized ground, the interior fitted with a cobalt velvet writing surface enclosed by
gilt stenciled Greek key border, a removable tray lined in paper, and a single ink bottle.
