First Quarter of the 20th Century
The rectangular form painted featuring a hazy row
of Aspen trees in the mid ground, a grassy pathway
in the foreground, through a clearing on the right, a
farm house in the hilly background, the sky reserved
in a pale pastel palette of blue shading to a pale yel-
low -green glazed ground, the plaque not examined
outside its contemporary frame.
Dimensions of plaque 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches (14 x 19
cm); framed 10 1/2 x 12 inches (26.5 x 30.5 cm)

floral garland, impressed on base Wiener Werkstatte
cipher/#958.

Wood Figure of A Wine Porter
The mustached male figure carved with bulging eyes,
wearing a cobalt blue work apron, red striped pants,
an olive cap and a jacket, hunched over by the
weight of holding twenty-five bottles in each hand,
raised on an oval platform base with a striped tartan
ground, titled “Nectars”.
Height 10 inches (25.5 cm)
French wine specialist established in Paris in 1822.
