  1. Turned Maple and Ash Slat-back Armchair, probably New England,
    last half 18th century, the four arched reverse-graduated slats joining
    turned stiles with bulbous pommels, with scrolled arms and turned legs
    joined by double stretchers, original splint seat, old finish, ht. 44 1/2,
    seat ht. 16 1/2 in.
