    Massachusetts, c. 1760-75, the blocked lid opens to an amphitheater
    interior of blocked and shaped drawers and valanced compartments

    conformingly blocked case and bracket feet, old replaced brasses, old
    refinish, (imperfections and repairs), ht. 41 1/4, wd. 39, dp. 20 in.




Provenance: Papers found within the desk indicate a history in the
Durfee family of the Tiverton, Rhode Island, area.
