    Bennington, Vermont, early to mid-19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug
    with single blossom decoration, impressed “BENNINGTON/J. NORTON
    & SON” on shoulder, (mouth and handle chips); and a straight-sided
    two-gallon jug with impressed maker’s mark “J. NORTON & Co./
    BENNINGTON VT.” on shoulder, ornamented with a bird perched on a
    branch, ht. 13 1/2, 13 3/4 in., respectively.
