MicroLED is one of the more promising TV technologies of the moment, reducing the size
of the screen’s LEDs even further to produce colour and illumination that’s as precise as
possible. The smaller the LEDs, the more control the TV has over how brightness and
contrast are managed, which means a noticeable jump in picture quality overall.
This isn’t the first MicroLED television that Samsung has produced, but it is the smallest
one to date – and that should also mean it’s the most affordable yet. However, with this
brand new technology on board, affordable in this case is very much a relative term: when
the price for the set is announced, it’s going to be beyond the budgets of most families.
