(A) The Authenticity of the Hadīth of Ghadīr

Fromthepointofviewofitschainofnarration,thehadīthofGhadīris
so strong that it is probably unique.


Onehundredandtenofthecompanions(sahābah)oftheProphetwho
werepresentatGhadīrhave narrateditfromthe Prophet withoutany
intermediary, and alsoeighty four of the disciples of the companions
(tābiiyn).TheunbiasedscholarsoftheSunniworldhavementionedthe event of Ghadīr in their books with great documentation.Allamah
Aminihas mentioned three hundred and fiftysuch scholars in his al-
Ghadīr.Many greatIslamicscholars havewrittenbooksexclusively on
theeventofGhadīr,andtwenty-sixsuchwritershavebeenmentionedin
al-Ghadīr.Dictionarycompilershaverelatedthe story ofGhadīrunder
the entry of Ghadīr' orMawla' (master).


Sotherecannotbe thesmallestdoubt,northeleastshadowoverthe
chainof narration of the hadīth of Ghadīr except forthose handful of
peoplewhocanstandinthelightofthesunandfeelitswarmthontheir
skin but still say that there is no light or warmth.
