Thepurposeofhumanlifeinthisworldistosuccessfullygothroughthe
trialsandtribulationsinordertoachievesalvationinthehereafter.Inthe
hereafter,lifewillhavenoend.Goddidnotleaveuswithoutanymeans
of guidance.
He sent prophets,messengersand booksto guidemankind towards
therightpath.ThelastprophetandmessengerwastheProphetofIslam,
andthefinalrevelation wastheQur'an.Islamisthe ultimatemeansof
guidance for mankind through the tests and trials of this world. The
Prophetwassent“toconvey therevelation;topurifyspirituallyandto
teach the Qur’ān and wisdom.”
Islam seeks to guide its followers by the legal system known as
“sharī‘a”.Noaspectofourlifeisoutsidethejurisdictionofthesharī‘a:
legalandmoral,personalandsocial,economicandpolitics,allissuesare
directly or indirectly covered by the sharī‘a.
InthislessonyouwilllearnmoreabouttheIslamiclawsfromdifferent
perspectives.
