Inthisuniverse,fromthe smallestatomtothelargestcelestialbody,in
everythingwesee,weareremindedof itsperfectorderlinessandexact
regulation, so much so that great scientists have been provoked to
amazement. One look at the world around us makes it clear that all
thingsinitareinfullcoordinationwithoneanother.Thenourishmentof
livingcreatures,forexample,dependsonthe coordinationbetweenthe
sun,clouds,rain,earthanditsresources.Allthispointstotheexistence
of one coordinated system in the universe.


Thereissomuchorderlinessinnaturethatthescientists,byusingthe
immutablelawsofnature,canexplainthecourseanyphenomenonwill
take before it occurs. For this reason, scientists endeavour to discover
theselaws.Foriftheselawsdidnotholdwouldnoteverykindofeffort
in this field be fruitless?


So let us look at some examples of the order and design in the
universe:


Theearthin whichwe live,with respect toitssize, itsdistancefrom
thesun,thespeedof itsorbitalmovement,etc.,issoarrangedthatitis
ableto actas the supportfor life. If the smallest change wereto take
place in its condition, losses of unacceptable dimensions would occur.


“The earth rotates on its axis at one thousand miles an hour; if it
turnedatonehundredmilesanhour,ourdaysandnightswouldbeten
timesaslongasnow,andthehotsunwouldthenburnupourvegeta-
tionduringeachlongdaywhileinthe longnightanysurvivingsprout
would freeze.


“Again, the sun, the source of ourlife, hasa surface temperatureof
12,000degreesFahrenheit,andourearthisjustfarenoughawaysothat
this`eternalfire'warmsusjustenoughandnottoomuch!Ifthesungave
offonlyone-halfofitspresentradiation,wewouldfreeze,andifitgave
half as much more, we would roast.


“The slantof the earth,tiltedatanangleof 23 degrees, givesus our
seasons;ifithadnotbeensotilted,vapoursfromtheoceanwouldmove
northandsouth,pilingupforuscontinentsofice.Ifourmoonwas,say,
only 50 thousand miles away instead of its actual distance, our tides
would be so enormous that twice a day all continents would be
