Each one of these living cells worksin perfectcooperation with the
next,andallofthemfollowthesameaim.Theyareveryquicktosuffer,
havinglowtolerancelevels,andnourishmentmustbecorrectlysupplied
for their needs.


The blood, with the help of the heart, performsthis duty verywell.
Thestructureof theheartiswell-designedandhas perfectdimensions,
sothatitcansupplybloodtothewholebodythroughtheagencyofthe
blood vessels and the capillaries.


Theblood,afterithasdeliverednourishmenttothecells,absorbspois-
onoussubstanceswhichhaveaccumulatedthereandreturnstotheheart
withadullcolour.Theheartdeliversthistothelungs,afilteringappar-
atusfortheblood,whereuponitisresuppliedtothewholebodywitha
brightcolourandgreaterfreshness.Whilepassingthroughthekidneys,
anotherpartofthesepoisonousmattersareremoved,sothatnokindof
disturbance arises in the general working of the body.


Dowe notsee inthe precisecombinationandquantity ofthe metals
andelementsfromwhichthecellisformed,andalsotheamazingstruc-
tureoftheheartanditswayofworking,aplanofperfectandsuperior
design?Andifweseeinthehumanbody,amysteriouswholeandatthe
same time a design, are we exaggerating?


Without doubt, no.

Inthe same waywe must confess that theworld of existence firmly
restsonthefoundationofperfectorderliness,andundoubtedlyeveryor-
derlinessanddesignisthe creationandaccomplishmentofawise and
powerful maker.


The same argument demonstrates that design and orderliness must
haveoriginatedfromasourceofknowledgeandpower,andthatchance
cannotbetheoriginofmarvelshavingdesignandorderlinesssimplybe-
causeeverything produces aparticulareffect:itis incorrectto suppose
that designandorder shouldcomefrom chanceor mere accident.The
scientific“lawofprobability”makesitimpossibletoexplainthecoordin-
ation in this world on the basis of chance. According to the law of
