Honey House at Moab, Utah, USA


This country house was built from earth-
filled rammed tubes or sacks. The thickness
of the walls is 50 cm, and the diameter of
the interior space is 3 m. Forty tons of earth
were used in all.
The exterior surfaces are covered with
straw-loam plastering, and the edges of
the openings and the pedestal with loam
plastering. Inner surfaces were plastered
with loam.
