The partly two-storey-high building stands
at the border of the city and accommodates
a family of five. The structural system of the
walls is provided by a timber skeleton. The
exterior walls are formed by 40-cm-thick
prefabricated cubes composed of a mixture
of clayey soil and straw. Their specific weight
is 450 kg/m^2. These blocks are covered
either by timber planks or lime plaster. The
U-value of the walls is 0.28 W/m^2 K.
