Soaked Almonds

It sounds a little bizarre to list
something as simple as soaked almonds
as a breakfast item. But in our house,
it’s an easy way to get protein and
nutrients in the morning. My paternal
grandmother was known for her
amazing memory and attributed it to
her habit of popping a few soaked
almonds every morning. Soaking nuts
also helps to break down an enzyme
inhibitor they contain, which allows
your body to absorb the nutrients more
effectively and aids in digestion. Use a
glass jar, if soaking overnight.
