- Add the onion, ginger root, and garlic.
Cook for another 2 minutes, mixing
occasionally. - Add the potato and cook for another 2
minutes. - Add the chiles, peas, and greens.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes, until the greens
have wilted. - Add the water. Bring to a boil, turn
down the heat, and simmer uncovered
for 5 minutes. - Add the cilantro.
- Remove the cassia or bay leaves and
blend with an immersion blender or in a
traditional or a more powerful blender,
such as a Vitamix, until smooth. Do this
