- Boil the sliced tofu in water for about
5 minutes. Drain it a colander while you
prep the remaining ingredients.
Alternatively, you can also freeze the
tofu either in the package or after cutting.
Once you defrost, proceed with the steps
below. I found that the two processes
essentially give you the same flavor and
texture. You can also use the tofu as is,
but the added step will add a richness to
the tofu that will make it taste more like
Indian cheese, or paneer. - In a bowl, combine the flour, ginger
root, fenugreek (if using), salt, garam
masala, red chile powder, black pepper,
