3 cups (576 g) whole dried green lentils
(sabut moong dal), picked over and
washed
5 cups (1.19 L) water
- Put the lentils and water in the slow
cooker. Cook on low for 2½ hours. I
found that the low heat worked better for
lentils, which can dry up easily if
