  1. Pour about a third of the marinade into
    a shallow baking dish. Arrange the
    tempeh pieces in the dish. Pour another
    spoonful or two of marinade over the
    tempeh until all pieces are covered.

  2. Let the tempeh marinate for at least 20
    minutes and up to 2 hours.

  3. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping each
    piece halfway through. Serve over
    brown or white basmati rice or as a
    filling for a sandwich or wrap. Organic
    extra-firm tofu or seitan can be used in
    place of the tempeh.
