Masala Pizza

During a visit to India, I ordered a
pizza to get a little piece of Americana
in Delhi. I was homesick for all of my
friends and really didn’t want to be on
a family trip—typical teenager
mentality. The “pizza” that came made
me even more homesick. It was a layer
of dough topped with an Indian curried
bean dish. I was appalled. The funny
thing is, now I’m making my own
version of “curried” pizza and loving
it! Using pita for the crust makes it a
fun, fast treat during the week for the
kids as well—a tip I picked up from one
of my favorite magazines, Clean Eating.
