Entertainment and leisure


In this unit you will learn to use verbs related to entertainment and leisure time
activities. Generally French workers have much more time than their American
counterparts to devote to such activities. France’s social laws allow the average
worker to have four to six weeks of paid vacation every year. Although the se-

of our free time. Here are a few of the verbs involved with electronics.

jouer play

Change de chaîne; mets les nouvelles! Change channels; put on the
news!
Je dois recharger mon portable. I have to recharge my cell phone.
