Suggested Strategies and Activities:


ƒ Identify the presence and use of charts in the Automotive Service trade
ƒ Identify the basic types: pie chart, bar graph and line graph, etc., and in what
circumstance each may be used
ƒ Discuss the use of charts in a variety of trade-related and safety workplace
documents
ƒ Review workplace charts common to the trade
ƒ Analyze charts and determine degree of difficulty (i.e., simple or complex)
ƒ Examine structure and components of a variety of charts
ƒ Encourage learners to share their knowledge and experiences
ƒ Understand and follow flow charts
